In this guide, we'll be walking through the process of removing the inside door trim from a Peugeot Expert. The method will also be the same for all the other PSA group vehicles, including the Citroën Dispatch, Toyota Proace, and Vauxhall Vivaro.
Tools Used:
A trim removal set: Link
A screwdriver with Torx screw heads
Step 1: Remove the Door Trim
Remove the trim around the door handle, window switches, and opposite the wing mirror with a trim removal tool.
The wire connecting the window switches can be released by squeezing and pulling the cable's connector bracket. On the driver’s side, it's held in place with a latch; this can also be removed by hand.
Step 2: Remove the Screws
Locate and remove the six screws that hold the main panel in place. Refer to the video for detailed visuals.
Step 3: Detach the Door Panel
Once all screws are removed, carefully use the trim remover set to pry the panel from the door.
Be careful to avoid losing any of the plastic tabs that hold the panel in place. Some of the tabs may stay stuck inside the door and will need to be removed before the panel can be reinstalled.
At this stage, you can access components such as the speaker or wing mirror for replacement, or access the bolts to remove the entire door if necessary.
Step 6: Reinstall the Door Panel
Reattach the plastic tabs by slotting them back into the door frame, ensuring they face the correct direction.
Lift the door panel and place it over the rubber seal along the window. The panel should hang in place.
Push the panel into the door so the tabs hold it more securely, making sure the window switch wires remain accessible.
Step 7: Secure the Panel
Screw in the panel using the original screws.
Reconnect the wires for the window switches and clip all the trim pieces back into place.
Once everything is securely reassembled, the door trim reinstall process is complete. Thank you for following this guide!
