How To Fix Stiff Rear Doors: Gen 3 Peugeot Expert

In this blog post, I'll be walking you through how I fixed the stiff rear barn doors on my Gen 3 Peugeot Expert.

The Process

I started by loosening the bolts that hold the lock latch in place.

Next, I lifted the latch into a position that allowed the door to shut more easily while still locking securely.

Once I was satisfied with how it was working, I tightened the bolts back up. I repeated the process on both of the doors.

With both lock latches adjusted, the doors were much easier to open and close compared to how they were before I first removed them while carpet lining the van.

I hope you find this quick fix helpful. If it doesn’t resolve your issue, the problem might be with the exterior door latches, which often rust and could benefit from some oil.
